Abhord Quickstart Guide (2026 Refreshed Edition)
What’s new in this 2026 refresh
- Model volatility is up: Major LLMs update more frequently, so results can drift week to week. Pin model versions where possible and collect multiple samples per model to stabilize trends.
- Safety and neutrality filters tightened: Brand and competitor names may be suppressed unless framed neutrally. Use discovery-style prompts and comprehensive alias lists to capture mentions reliably.
- Longer answers, more dilution: Expanded context windows produce broader lists. Use strict entity canonicalization to avoid double‑counting variants.
- Multilingual reach matters: Share of voice now varies more by locale. Run panels per language/region to see where you genuinely lead.
- Action bias: Teams that close the loop (briefs, FAQs, product pages) within 14–30 days get the clearest lift. Treat surveys as a recurring operating rhythm, not a one‑off.
1) Initial setup and configuration
Goal: Configure Abhord so your brand, competitors, and topics are recognized consistently.
- Create your workspace
- Name and region: Choose the primary market you care about first (e.g., United States – English), then add secondary locales later.
- Team roles: Assign at least one Admin, two Editors (content + product), and Viewers for stakeholders.
- Define entities (critical)
- Brand dictionary: Add official brand name, product lines, and common misspellings/shortenings. Example: “Acme Mailing,” “AcmeMail,” “Acme Email Suite.”
- Competitors: List direct and adjacent competitors plus aliases (company and product). Group them by segment.
- Topics/keywords: Add use‑cases, verticals, and feature terms you want to track (e.g., “email warmup,” “DMARC,” “automations”).
- Connect models
- Choose a starting panel: At minimum, include 4–6 leading LLMs from different providers and families. If you must prioritize, select one generalist, one reasoning‑focused, one open‑weights SLM/LMM, and one multilingual model.
- Keys and quotas: Use Abhord’s managed connections or bring your own API keys. Set per‑model max spend and daily cap.
- Project defaults
- Locale: Start with en‑US; add es‑US or fr‑CA if relevant.
- Sampling: Set 5–10 generations per prompt per model (temperature 0.2–0.5 for baseline, 0.6–0.8 for discovery).
- Cadence: Weekly for fast‑moving categories; biweekly for stable markets.
- Alerts: Turn on anomaly alerts for “new competitor mention,” “sentiment drop,” and “SOV delta > 5%
