1) What “AI Brand Alignment” Means—and Why It Matters

AI Brand Alignment is the degree to which generative systems represent a brand accurately, favorably, and consistently when answering user intents relevant to that brand. In practice, this spans:

  • Inclusion: Does the model surface the brand when it should?
  • Positioning: How is the brand ranked or prioritized versus competitors?
  • Accuracy: Are facts (features, pricing, availability, compliance) correct and current?
  • Sentiment and stance: Is the framing favorable, neutral, or unfavorable?
  • Safety: Are responses consistent with brand and platform policies?

Why it matters:

  • Generative engines increasingly intermediate discovery and decision-making.
  • Accurate alignment reduces misinformation, support load, and policy risk.

2) How Abhord Systematically Surveys LLMs

Survey design

  • Intent graph: Hierarchical taxonomy of intents: informational, comparative, transactional, troubleshooting, and policy/safety. Each intent is decomposed into query templates with slot variables (product, region, version).
  • Model matrix: We probe a rotating set of frontier and mid-tier models (text-only and multimodal), tracking model identifiers and version hashes.
  • Prompt templates: For each intent, we maintain neutral, consumer, and expert variants to avoid priming bias. Temperature, top-p, and system role are standardized; we also probe with model-default settings to capture organic behavior.
  • Multi-turn flows: For complex tasks, we simulate 2–4 turn follow-ups (e.g., “what else?”, “any concerns?”, “cite sources if possible”) to observe stability and escalation behavior.
  • Replication: n≥5 replicas per (model, intent, locale) with seeded variation to estimate variance.
  • Locale and policy layers: Geographic variants (e.g., US vs. EU) and safety-trigger probes (e.g., age-gating) to detect policy-induced divergences.

Data capture

  • Full transcripts with metadata: {model_id, model_version, parameters, locale, timestamp, intent_id, turn, text}.
  • Emissions guardrails: We never inject proprietary or unverifiable claims into prompts. All interventions are transparent and reproducible.

3) Analysis Pipeline: Mention Detection, Sentiment, Competitor Tracking
